Michael & Loretta Johnson and family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all of you that contributed and participated in the Twin Peaks Challenge on Sunday 5th July.

Michael & Loretta were travelling into Kildare on the 25th May 2008 when a tree fell onto their car. Both suffered horrific injuries and unfortunately our Dad Michael has been left a quadraplegic. Their lives have been changed forever and the basic tasks we take for granted on a daily basis now need to be planned as he requires full time care.

For your kindness and generosity we can only say a huge Thank You. Your efforts mean we can purchase some technology for Dad so that he can have some small amount of independence.

When I became a cycling widow a couple of years ago I came to the conclusion the only hope of getting to see Declan was to relinquish and join the cycling club. In joining the club I have gotten to meet a wonderful group of people. I suppose its fair to say I am still a cycling widow but hopefully family commitments will allow for me to get out a bit more on my bike and give some time to helping out with the club.

Thanks for braving the elements on Sunday and we wish you all the very best for the future.

Ann Marie Earley
